Suma Muralidhar

"Being on stage connects me with my source," says Suma Muralidhar. A long-time theater enthusiast, she has acted in lead roles in over 30 plays in English, Kannada, and Hindi and performed in various cities in the U.S., Canada, England and India. She has also directed and produced plays, as well as provided backstage support for many productions. She has worked with eminent Indian Directors, including Amol Palekar, Mahesh Dattani, Satyabrata Rout and Sunila Pradhan. She performs with several local community theater groups in the Washington DC area, including Natya Bharati, Open Mind Stage, Kaveri Kannada Sangha, and now excited to be a part of Ranga Vartula, US Chapter. Professionally, Suma is a biomedical scientist and she directs a precision health  research program for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
