Nithish Sridhara Murthy

Nithish Sridhar is an engineer by profession, but has been active in theater and media for more than a decade. He brings a wealth of experience having acted in over 100 plays in both Kannada and English, as well as directing plays. He is the recipient of many State and National awards for his acting and direction, as well as  poems and creative articles. He was awarded Best Director of the Year at Abhinaya National Theatre successively for years in 2013 and 2014. In addition, he has been a voice-over artist for many documentaries and compered more than 100 public shows and concerts, and written 5 plays in Kannada. His first play as a playwright and director, Shaalmala was nominated for the annual awards presented by Bharathiya Kaavyavaani. Nithish received the Abhinaya National Award as Best Supporting Actor for the play Treadmill in the year 2014. Rabdi, Treadmill and Vesha were performed all across the USA and set a record for the maximum number of Kannada theater shows directed by Nithish and performed in the United States. Mysuru Mallige, Gangavatarana, Akku, Sevanti Prasanga, Nimitta and Lajje are some of the other Kannada plays he has directed.
